English version

Drws Gobaith-West is one of a pretty pair of stone faced cottages located within the heart of the Dowrog Common on the outskirts of the picturesque city of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

Drws Gobaith-west offers modern, well equipped, self-catering accommodation for up to 4 guests. The cottage was extensively refurbished in 2015.

Drws Gobaith means ‘Door of Hope’ and is thought to be a metaphor for being close to the pilgrimage route through Rhodiad y Brenin to the cathedral. The two cottages are believed to date from around 1860 and it is presumed were built to replace the ty unnos that once stood on the site. Our cottage is the western of the pair.

Dowrog Common and has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) since 1954 and sustains rare wildlife, both flora and fauna.

The cottage is an ideal base for wildlife lovers, walkers, visiting the coastline and beaches as well as simply relaxing.
